Dr. Kevin B Norowitz, MD, FAAP


Medical Director

Dr Kevin Norowitz is a board-certified pediatrician in Brooklyn, New York and is affiliated with University Hospital of Brooklyn (State University of NY Downstate Medical Center). He received his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed his residency in pediatrics and adolescent medicine at  SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Kings County Medical Center,  where he is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Norowitz has been in practice for over 20 years. Dr Norowitz provides personal care and attention to his patients and is a caring and committed doctor. He is a member of the Physician Advisory Council at NYC Reach.

Dr. Neal Bauer, PsyD


Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Neal Bauer is a graduate of Teacher’s College, Columbia University and completed his doctorate at Long Island University - Post. Dr. Bauer completed training at the NYC Children's Center Queens Campus (formerly Queens Children Psychiatric Center) working in a day treatment program with young children with severe mental health disorders. In addition, he completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University, working with individuals with eating and borderline personality disorders. Dr. Bauer's internship at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center allowed him to work with diverse populations and completing neuropsychological evaluations with diverse presentations, including children and adults with neurological disorders and traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Bauer is an expert in the administration of psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Currently, Dr. Bauer holds a faculty position at Touro College as well as the Coordinator of Special Needs, assisting students with disabilities in college.

Dr. Hadassah Kupfer, Au.D



Dr. Kupfer is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association, as well as the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brooklyn College with a BS in Accounting & Psychology, and then obtained her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) from the City University of New York- The Graduate Center. Over the course of her training, Dr. Kupfer received mentorship and provided hearing healthcare at The Brooklyn Hospital Center as well as The Clarke School for Speech and Hearing (Upper East Side, NYC). She gained further work experience, including pediatric specialty, in private practice audiology as well as ENT settings, before launching her own practice in January 2016.

Dr. Laura Bloxenheim, PharmD



Dr Bloxenheim earned her doctorate in Pharmacology from Long Island's Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy. Her clinical specialty was in infectious diseases and molecular pharmacology. She also performed research at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases. She is an experienced New York  based  retail pharmacist, and also works as an independent consultant pharmacist (article 28 facilities). She has a passion for working with children and has spent time at Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special working as a pharmacist intern. Her extensive knowledge base in both adult and pediatric pharmacology ensures that her patients receive the best care.

Yoni Wiesel, LMSW



Jonathan (Yoni) Wiesel is a licensed social worker who has several years of experience working as a clinical psychotherapist for the community. He graduated from Long Island University with a Masters degree in social work (Phi Alpha Honor Society). His training includes certificates in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) from the Beck Institute, ADHD, EMDR, Mental Health First Aid and Play Therapy. His focus has been on treating children, adolescents, adults, couples and  families. He has worked extensively with diverse clinical issues, including ADHD, anxiety, behavior/conduct, depression, eating  disorders, learning problems, ODD (Oppositional Defiant  Disorder), grief and loss, crisis intervention and trauma. He also offers psychoeducation, support, goals and advice throughout the therapeutic process. Currently, Yoni works as a private consultant for Yeshivas focused on crisis, behavior issues, ADHD and anxiety, as well as in his private practices in Brooklyn and Lakewood. His unique experience also includes tele-psychotherapy, communicating via video/phone/messaging while sorting through a client crisis or particularly sensitive topics.  

Shira Wolfsen, RDN


Registered Dietician Nutritionist

Shira Wolfson MS, R.D. graduated from from Touro College with a Bachelors in Psychology. She completed her Masters  Degree in Health and Nutrition Sciences from CUNY Brooklyn College, and then attended a one year Dietetic Internship program through CUNY Brooklyn College, which takes place through various community and healthcare establishments in the New York City area. She also received dietetic training at Maimonides Medical Center (NICU and outpatient clinics), as well as several nursing homes.  During her Master’s program her research focused on studying the relationship between diet and gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy). Using an integrative and functional approach, Shira helps others optimize their health by meeting with them and creating individualized programs specific for their needs.

Avrohom Steinmetz, M.S., CCC-SLP


Speech-Language Pathologist

Avrohom Steinmetz, M.S., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who earned his Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Touro College. He holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASLHA), as well as the NYS certification as a Teacher of Students with

Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). He has completed training for the Lidcombe Program (a behavioral treatment for young children who stutter) by the trainer’s consortium. He also completed levels 1 and 2 of Estill Voice Training. In addition, he is certified in Lee

Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT). 

He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children and adults in communication and speech/language disorders including articulation, receptive and expressive language, phonology, fluency, attention management (ADHD), auditory processing disorders, and social skills (clinical and school setting). Avrohom provides an array of services in language therapy, cognitive therapy, articulation therapy, voice therapy, and swallowing therapy.
